    I've got a PSP-1001 (fat), that I modded back in 2007 to use the CWF 3.30 OE-A...

Well after about half a year I lost interest in the PSP and managed to lose my charger completely, and here recently I've bought a new charger and wanted to update my CFW as far as high as I can go and still be able to play ISOs and stuff.

I've tried updating directly to a 5.50 CFW, but the updater required 3.52 M33 or higher - which simply wouldn't install on my PSP (gave me an error of "DADADADAD" or something like that). I couldn't even get the Sony OFW of 4.01 to install. I remember reading 3.30 OA-E was supposed to resist updating, but this is ridiculous.

I'm out of practice with this, and could use all the help I could get.

If you know what steps I need to take in order to update, I'd really appreciate the help.

update 3.52m33-5 first, then upgrade to 5.00m33

you could also make a pandora battery and upgrade directly using that method.

The last time I messed with CFW's there was no such thing as a "pandora battery" and I have no clue what that is. All of my searching only leads me to options to buy Pandora Batteries and kits.

    [UPDATE]
All of my attempts to run the 3.52 M33UPDATE are met with the following error:

"The game could not be started.
    80020148"
    [/UPDATE]

Hey, I had the same problem updating my friend's PSP a while back. then I found a program called Hellcat's Recovery Flasher that can be used to flash any firmware to any psp regardless of the FW version you're currently on.

Do a search at pspupdates.QJ.net or psp-hacks.com for recovery flasher and you shouldn't have much trouble finding what you're looking for.

    Hope this helps!
