I keep trying to reboot my pc after uninstalling the secondary adapter. Am I missing something? Do I scroll down and select DMA in available? I don't know why it went to pio, but I open device then hardware then to the controllers it says pio then I uninstall but comes back as PIO?
@zenarrrow, You have uninstalled the drivers? Try the following threads: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038 If that doesn't help: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/328839
OK I have read those threads and I have and know how to uninstall the ide controllers then reboot them and they should reinstall with DMA replaced. But nothing is happening. It was working fine untill just about a week ago. when it wou;ld burn and read about 10 X now only 1.8 X I( wonder if the new movies with the encryption and all the retrys have made it go into pio?
Did you uninstall both primary and secondary? Here is another guide, it is most helpful in explaining. http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=61905
