I have a Dell Inspiron 9100, and I've got a stuck pixel problem. Unfortunately, it's not one or two red/blue/green/yellow/whatever pixels. It's two entire columns that go down the far right side of my LCD screen. Is there any program to help fix this? I've tried massaging them, but due to their size and location, it's extremely difficult. Any suggestions?
There could be a number of issues. 1. Try removing your video card and reset it. Whatever you do, make sure you turn off your computer and then unplugging it before trying this. Make sure it sets right, but don't force it. OR 2. Check your video card temperature. See if the fan is running. It may be a heat issue. OR 3. It could be your video card is dying. The same thing began happening to me. You might need a new card.
try another monitor whether lcd or crt as most likely is not the videocard at fault but your lcd monitor. it appears you have lost at least 2 transistors in the monitor to cause your problem.
I should have mentioned that when I move my screen up or down (as if to close it), then lines disappear whilst I'm moving it, but reappear when I stop.
I think thats a laptop computer,is it not? If so you may have a bad or loose ribbon cable going to the screen.I would try hooking it up to another monitor as the others suggested. If the video card is bad it will show up on the other monitor as well.
