Hi! I'm using Studio 8 to capture from VCR via s-video. Video quality is good, but on playing the captured film, the video is not in synch with the audio. Audio seems to be normal time and video slow. Anyone had this problem? Ianto.

Audio and Video sync problems with Captured files are very Common especially with the Pinnacle PCTV Card...
In the case of the Pinacle PCTV card the Problem is due to the Card it"s self being Crappy....

Sync problems are usually caused from either Dropped Frames while captureing or from the differant time clocks used for captureing the audio and video streams....
The Clock used by the Video capture device and the Clock used in the audio capture device(Sound card) are usually slightly different, Maybe only a half second per hour but over a 2 hour movie that brings it out of sync by at least a second....
So if the Sync problem is caused by this then you must use a Capture program that can Properly compensate for the Different time clocks and for Dropped Frames which Studio 8 doesn"t...Virtal-VCR has a Feature for compensateing for this when captureing to AVI and WinDVR 3.0 compensates for it when captureing to Mpeg.....so try one of those Programs and see if you get better results...
