i opened an mpeg file in studio 9 and studio 9 says detecting scenes from video file and no error message but after that nothing happens in edit mode no video comes up but its compliant
why wont mpeg file show up so i can edit it?
also im trying to cut the file because my nanopeg editor wont do it..
so need to get able to use studio and also suggest another free video cutter that i can cut the video with having to render it again cause its already in mpeg2 dvd standard play from wintv 350 pci card

Well Pinnacle Studio will Probably Re-encode your File when editing so You might want to use a Different Mpeg editor Like there are a Couple Basic Freeware Editors for Mpeg-2 files Like "Mpeg2Cut" and "Chopper XP" and "Cutterman" or the Mpeg Tools in "Tmpgenc" that will let you edit your Mpeg-2 file and then you can author your Edited File to DVD useing a DVD Authoring Program (I wouldn"t recomend Pinnacle Studio because it has a Nasty Habbit of re-encodeing allready DVD Compliant Mpeg0-2 files)....

    Cheers
