STUMPED!!!!

    I have the 5th gen 80 gig ipod.. I'm importing 20gig of music from an external HD into iTunes....the import starts running and the songs are being placed from the folder into the library as it should...the conversion screen shows the job specs as X amount of hours X amount of songs and 20gigs of musics...

    The problem is...after the import is complete...my itunes library has doubled the amount of gigs that it imported. Instead of 20 gig it shows 40 gig....the songs are not duplicated...

    I've de/re-installed itunes..re-imported several times...i cant figure it out...

    Any help is greatly appreciate..
