I have a Hp Pavillion a1025c that came with a on-board Intel Graphics Controller, yuck! Well, i recently bought a Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 from PNY. well, downloaded the drivers and everything, but whenever i use the computer, the Media Accelerator for the on-board computer keeps installing without me even knowing. I thought it was an automatic update, so i set automatic update to dont download nor insatll without permission. The problems i have is that whenever i restart the computer with the media accelerator installed, or on my computer, i get to the windows loading screen then about 5 seconds after the little blue dots move across the screen, it freezes. I will then have to do the non-destructive pc recovry that came with my computer to install the drivers for the on-board graphics card, then switch to that video card and do the whole proccess of deleting the drivers and installing the Nvidia again. Is there anything i can do?
a)You cant call it yuck it does pretty well for an buolt in card b)It should automatically disable the Video whne you insert an agp/pci/pci-e card because the built in card also controls how your agp/pci/pci-e slot works thats why it s a controler
