Lately, my backups have been stuttering and skipping (and some eventually get an 'unable to read disc' error). Im not sure what's going on. I always use Verbatim DLs (Ive tried from different spindels in case I had a bad batch of discs). Ive tried using Imgburn, XBC, and clone cd, I burn at 2.4x (and even tried at 1x). and I close as many system process as I can before burning. Ive been backing up games for some time, but recently ive been in this rut. Not sure if it's my burner (ive tried two different ones with no success), or my 360. Not sure what else I can do. It's starting to get really aggravating and costly, so any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I would try a POT adjustment and if that doesn't solve your problem you may need to invest in a new laser. If everything had been working before and now it's not, it's most likely your console.
