I just got a used V551 that is supposed to be unlocked for Cingular but it is requesting a subsidy password. I tried the 000000 and 1234 but it's not working. Can this phone be unlocked with just a code? or do i need to connect it to unlock it? IMEI: #356252001835872 thanks for any help on this.
More info on this . . . If I go somewhere and have them unlock this phone - will that override the subsidy passcode or any other passcodes set on the phone by a user? I think that it does but am not sure. Can someone tell me. thanks
