i bought a divx certificated dvd player and i made a few data cd with both the .srt file and the .divx file and some cd's did work and others only showed the movie and not the subtitles.
is there a way or something i must do so that they always play the subtitles???
    thx in advance

Well the player might not do external subs for .divx files since they are intended to have internal subs. Try renaming to avi or use x-subs. Also are the subs ANSI, unicode, UTF-8?

A text editor, even notepad should tell you. In notepad if you open it and then goto save it it will list it under encoding.

xsubs are the official DivX subtitle format.
