I'm looking to add subtitles to .avi. I would like to be able to turn them on/off. Also, I want to be able to save frames as pictures. Stitch video files together. Convert video formats. Is there any all in one software for this? Any info would be helpful. Thank you
To add switchable subtitles to AVI for playback on a DivX certified standalone player, use Aviaddxsubs. Note that the subtitles can only be viewed on the player - not the PC. http://www.calcitapp.com/AVIAddXSubs.php Avidemux can join video files, save individual frames and convert to various formats. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/avidemux.cfm http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=126164
Is it possible to add switchable subs to .avi and be able to play on a non Divx supported standalone. If not do you know what formats I should use.
If the player is not DivX certified, you cannot play AVI files on it. You can still convert the AVI to DVD format and add the subtitles with the likes of DVD Flick. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_flick.cfm
Would you happen to know how to add subs to avi so that it plays on PC. I would like one file rather then avi and srt. BTW I primarily use Mac, but not limited to it.
