subtitles are showing up transparent?

    for some reason, .SRT subs loaded with a video (in MPC) are giving me transparent subtitles. The outline is black, but the insides are see-thru. makes it hard to read. anyway to fix this?

    Launch MPC, start the movie and pause it.
    Click on "Play".
    Got to "Subtitles" and click on "Styles". Under "Colors and Transparency", make sure the marker is set to 100% for the primary color(White). All of mine are set to 100%. Click "Apply->"Okay" and resume the movie".
