subtitles cut off when burn dvd

    I like alot of anime i have all the naruto files and want to make some dvds but when i burn them the subtitles get cut off when i play it on my tv. is there a way around the subs not getting cut off>? Im on a Mac also! i use toast or idvd to make dvds

    The problem would be your TV's overscan. Encode padded with a black border so that it gets cut of instead.

    is there a how to guide out? i dont know anything about do that. Im new to all this video editing stuff. I've never made a matt on video before. Plus the guide has to be mac friendly i guess.

    I am having the exact same problem. I have Nero Vision Express that i used to burn the episodes to DVD. They play fine except the bottom protions of the screeen with the subtitles are cut off. What would I have to do to burn them with the black bars?
