I have Vista 32bit and have K-lite codec pack(full), installed. Both the video and srt files have the same name. They don't display on GOM or VLC player. I tried Media Player Classic and WMP 11, but they both display a VSFilter error called "Syntax error at line 1720!"

I've searched here and on google. Cannot find any solution to this problem, I've never had this problem before SP1 was released, but now I do. This just seems strange to me.

    Thanks for any help.

That's odd inasmuch as I believe that VLC has an internal decoder for subtitles.
Is it the same if in VLC you 'File' => 'Open File' to load the video then check the 'Use Subtitle' box and load the .srt file.
