I have an older Velodyne powered subwoofer with two input (L&R). However my new Denon AVR only has one single output for subwoofer. I tried using a patch cord (2 into 1) but that did not work. Please advise!

Was'nt ther a way to tap off the low freq info off the l + r speaker mains ?That is connecting the l + r speaker mains to a special connection just for that ( that was for people who had amps/receivers that did no have a sub port.

I elected to set my L&R main speakers to "small" thus reflecting the LF to the sub but that is not the problem. The problem is that no LF signal can be routed to the Velodyne (with L and R input) as it cannot be properly connected to the single subwoofer output on the Denon AVR.

    Denon AVR-788

I'll get the Velodybe model # when I get home from work. It is a giant dinosaur I bought at least 20+ years ago!
