    Hi there,

Recently, I bought a Dell 24" monitor. It came with a Razer Diamondback gamers mouse. About 2 weeks after hooking both up, I started getting blue screens on about 80% of startups. Sometimes it would even blue screen while trying to go into safe mode. Sometimes, when turning the pc on, it would then suddenly turn itself off.

Usually, after about 3-6 resets, my pc would boot and function normally. The Dell monitor is connected via a DVI cable to my 6800gt. Also, I have a USB cable connected from the monitor to a usb port on the machine, to enable the USB ports and card readers on the side of the monitor.

I have reseated both my RAM chips, made sure the video card hasn't slipped out, checked the power cables on all devices etc. I have installed the latest drivers for my video card also.

I un-installed the drivers for the gamers mouse, no luck, however I did continue to use the mouse with standard windows drivers.

The errors which the blue screens have been giving me vary some times.
These are what I have had so far:

    * IRQL not less or equal
    * Page Fault in Non Paged Area
and one other which mentioned something about USB port errors or something (I only had it once and can't remember exactly)

Could someone please possible shed some light on this? Why on earth would it suddenly start happening, when the only thing that has changed is the monitor and mouse?

    Thanks. :)

My pc is now in such a state that it either turns off during booting or bluescreens, everytime.

Does anyone have some input as to what the problem could be?

I had problems like this with my old 6600gt.

one thing to try is use the other dvi port on your card i am guessing you have two.

With mine I found it was 9x.xx drivers that cause the problem. and i was fine with the last of the 8x.xx seres drivers.

try useing DVI-VGA adapter (last resort)
