    Hi guys,

After about a week of putting things on my new Western Digital 1 TB My Book, something weird is beginning to happen. When it's plugged in, it still shows up in My Computer (I'm running Vista, by the way) as E: (like usual) but with a new icon. Just a differentish looking hard drive. And now, when I try to open my drive, I get:
I can still access it by right-clicking and pressing Explore, and I can still write and even download things to it. Please help!

Is there a "autorun.inf" file on it?

Delete that file, it is trying to autolaunch your hard drive like it was a Program DVD.

It worked! Thanks a ton. And hey, while I'm here, can I ask you if there is any way that I can change the icon for my external hard drive? It;s got no icon right now, just the default file one. Thanks.

To get your My Book icon back you just need to do a quick download from the Western Digital site of a new autorun inf and folder containing My Book icon. See here for simple instructions to get you icon back. Good luck.
