Suggestion - smilies ?

    I did a search, and came up empty, so I'll ask..........
    Has this forum ever considered the use of smileys?
    Was just wondering. There's been times I would have used them, if they were there. :eek:)

    I'm sure it's been considered but it's also more work since AD uses somewhat unique coding for the site - not the "instant forum" type you see so much.

    I don't think we'll ever get smileys. Don't quote me on this, but I think I recall dRD stating that he hates them..

    Smileys are fun and all that but can b a hinderous sometimes.

    aD has a lot of members and a lot of things that they store on their web servers soo i think when it comes to maanging and cost cutting is some areas they dont bother with the small things.

    I remember when aD had a member online thing at the bottom and it was great but it was removed because it was causing problems with the sites maintenance. so they scrapped it.

    So whith what i have seen in the time i have been here the aditions that AfterDawn does is mainly after a lot of vigorus testing and only if their is a major need.

    My 2 cents :)

    Smilys are for those 'Crapy sites' that dont have the best users unlike here at Afterdaw! If we had them they would be over used!

    What is wrong with firefox. im using it, it beats the shi* out of Internet Explorer hands down. Hopefully this wont start into a flame war as im just teling you all my opinion. [​IMG]

    if ye read it again i said here.i use firefox as my main browser..and i use ie for here and my web site.

    if ye think it will be a flame war over fire and ie ,ye will be talking to ye self..as i will not get involved........

    try to sign on with ie and firefox here at the same time with the same ip,as one will kick the other one off,{thats what i ment about not using fire here}meaning ye have to re-enter ye password for one or the other...........

    As for a flame war, i dont want one to happen but ive seen others on other forums. Some people can be prett nasty lol
