If something has been proven to be harmfull, is that a reason to ban it?
So what if something is readily available for you to choose weither or
    not to use it?

Nicotine is an addictive drug, no doubt.
Most users who try it don't or cannot quit even with help.
That's how it was designed, we all know that.

So obviously smokers are not as healthy as non smokers and as time progresses they will become even more unhealthy and possibly get cancer or heart failue amung other diseases,

If you are addicted to nicotine, it is partly your government's fault for allowing the sale and supply right?

They are allowing young and older people to choose weither they want to have a cig and most likely get hooked.

In my opinion it is partly the government's fault for allowing it in the first place.

    What if you can't quit?
Then you'r endangering your own life by starting in the first place.
What if you started when you were a kid like most of us "in school"

    Do you have a case?

Spoken like a product of the "nanny government".

Do you take responsibility for ANYTHING that happens to you, or do you expect Big brother to take care of everything from cradle to grave?

BTW, who wipes your a** for you?

No, you don't have a case.

The government is not responsible for shielding you from everything.

Do you trust the government to make all of the decisions for you?

Not to sidetrack the discussion, but many people believe that marijuana is addictive and deadly, but many do not. Many people believe that the government cannot make an educated decision for either side.

"If something has been proven to be harmfull, is that a reason to ban it?"

Spray paint is harmful. Do you want to outlaw it as well?

Cars can be harmful-people get killed every day with the murder weapon being a car.
Alcohol can be very harmful-from stupidity,to liver cirrhosis, to drunk driving and killing.
Sugar can be harmful-diabetes kills people slowly but surely every day. And is addictive too, I can never stay away from a good cookie.
Loud noise can be harmful- from occupational hazards to stupid miss-use of stereo headphones.
Even water can be harmful- people can drown or die of water intoxication
    .....
Exactly, no one is forcing anyone to do something they don't want.
You freely make a choice, then take responsibility for it.
