hi, when i open the Summary tab in the Properties box for an .avi file, i get this message: "Summary Properties Are Unavailable For The Selected Source(s)". It worked perfectly fine a few days ago. Then suddenly, windows media player 10 stopped working well, and it couldn't find the codecs, even though they had been installed previously and worked fine for years. i deleted all codecs, uninstalled Service Pack 2, rolled back to wmp9 and reinstalled wmp10. Then i installed k-lite codec pack 2.41 basic as well as ac3filter_1_01a_rc5.exe (for DTS audio compatability). Everything works fine now, and i can play and hear everything, but i can no longer get the avi file info. Anyone know how to get that info back? I got XP home on a Dell.
i should also add that i have norton antivirus with most recent update and nothing came up after scanning. Also, this all started when wmp would cause ie to freeze when opening wmv files from internet sites. It all went down from there.
