I can't seem to get the patch I downloaded from gameboy-advance.net to patch newer games say 300 and up. Is there like a firmware patch for my Super Key or maybe a newer patcher? Please help and thanks!
As said before, I think supercard SD does not load GBA games well...great for NDS roms though. Maybe wait for better firmware to come out?!? JACK
if you're referring to DS games, you should have firmware v2.56 to ensure most games work ( http://eng.supercard.cn/download.htm ) Like Jackmac said though, don't expect it for GBA games.. though a lot work many more don't.
sorry, i messed up. firmware is 1.63b download it onto your computer.. unzip the package (you'll need WinRAR from http://rarlabs.com ).. and then inside of it you'll find the following file: sd_163.bin load this file into the root directory of your media card, and pop it into the Supercard. It should ask you to upgrade your system when you do that, or it will do it on its own
Okay, downloaded the firmware and put the bin file in the root it did not ask if I wanted to upgrade and seemed to have done nothing?
it may have done it already, but try to run it like a game.. thats the 2nd way of updating it. it should update pretty quick, you may not even see it updating. give it a shot with the games again, rewrite some of them using the supercard patcher (v 2.56)
Okay at dualscene.net it shows a game, say Brainage, "0396 Brain Age: Train Your Brain In Minutes A North America Trashman 128Mbit 2Mbit FLASH Yes Yes Trim: Y / IGR: Y / FPG: Y" So I understand I have to select trim, and in game reset but what's the FPG stand for?
Another question, a few games work with the info from dualscene.net but alot don't. The firmware must have just not updated any help?!?!?
try writing them without all of the options. In game reset breaks a few games.. so I would uncheck that.. and trimming, though it should work with most games, may break them too. You'll have to experiment with them a bit, not necessary it works with all cards like that
