damn 4 coasters so far with imgburn and one with clonecd. set the layer break and still keep getting coasters ;( btw its the wzrd usa version. anyone else getting problems burning it?

 

Still the unanswered question: Has anyone burned the emcubed .iso and confirmed that it worked?

 

can anyone confirm the wiizard version working on the argon latest firmware?

also for PAL wii, is the update OK to run or does the disc need brickblocking? The wiizard is already patched no?

 

at this point, i'd suggest the mods just take the pertinent posts, dump them into the first 2 pages and delete the rest (including this post). the newbs keep brining up the same problems (and some basic burning issues) so the people actually searching have to sort through all the crap. i read the whole thing, but not everyone reads the posts daily. just as most of it is on the first post, it would help to get rid of all the crap as well. lock it down for a night to sort it out, if necessary. just a suggestion...

 

I've tried three times (ImgBurn Verbatim @ 2.4x and 4x, third time tried layer break) and each disc only gets to the blank white screen before giving an error...

 

So I have a jap wii but i want to run a usa version of the game. What do i need to do

i have a problem- every time i get to the match to unlock toon link my wii crashes, i have tried dvd5 and dvd9 discs and thely all give the same result could someone please help me fix this?

These issues have nothing to do with Nintendo and new protection. There is no new protection on the Game Disc. The issue is due to the Game Disc being Dual Layer which I doubt Nintendo would use Dual Layer as a copy protection method.

The issues that Modchip users are having has nothing to do with Nintendo at all. Success depends on Modchip, Modchip firmware, Burner, media, burn rate speed, setting layer break if needed. All things that Nintendo really has no control over.

I have an ARGON myself and burned it with Sony media no layer break and it worked perfectly fine.

 

also i used verbatim dvd+r dl made in sinagpore and i burned in imgburn at 4x and my wii's firmware is version 3.2E

 

I can answer this

I got 3 wiis in my lan center, out of the 3 (1 japanese) the only that reads the new USA DVD DL is the japanese, I just put the disc (reset several times as it didn´t recognize it), and after it made the update it works flawlessly

I've burnt this 2nd time though for my fren's wii-3.2u d2c too and it's working exactly same like mine =)

i did exactly the same thing with the japanese version including the layer break its just that the game crashes before i can fight toon link.
ill try burning at 2.4x to see if that works

ok burned on verbatim at x2.4 and it reads fine but i get a crash at the intro movie. any help?

 

at the movie when the disc error comes up eject the disc pop it back in and then hit like button 1 and 2 on the wiimote

 

i have the wiikey, i wanted to know if i update my wii will it affect the wiikey in anyway or brick my wii??.
