    looking for a little help:

I have the wizard release of ssbb and can't get it to play. I have 3.2U f/w, D2B drive and wasabi chip.

I've tried setting the layer break (2084960) and not setting a layer break

all of my other single layer Wii backups work fine.

    I'm using a Pioneer 112D burner and Verbatim DVD+R DL...I've tried @
max speed and 2.4x....I'm using ImgBurn.

(I have absolutely no problems w/ Xbox 360 backups)

Alright, I am slightly confused. I have a D2C wii with the D2Ckey installed. Is there a way to get a backup of brawl working on my wii with only single layer DVDs? If so, can someone give me a step by step instruction to do so?

All you have to do is for the wasabi set the dvd to book type dvd-rom and burn it at 2.4x or 4.0x and if it still doesn't spin up use the pot tweak and bring the dvd drive to 600ohms and works flawlessly

Ok, I have searched and I found some info but I am not sure on what is totally necessary. I have SSBB ISO (NTSC version). So I burned the game on a Verbatim DL DVD with Nero. I have my Wii updated with 3.2U and my Wii Key to 1.9s. I put in the game and it comes up on the channels screen, but when I select it to play I get the "Error 001 unauthorized device" crap... I thought Wii Key version 1.9s eliminated the errors. So here are my questions... Do I need to Brick Block? Why do I get the error 001 when I am running the Wii Key update 1.9s? Do I need to PPF patch the game? The PPF patch seems to only be necessary when playing on different regions as well as the Brick Blocker. I also forgot to ask about the layer break... Is that necessary? What about the Trucha Signer? I found a post giving info on how to remove the "001 drive error check".

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried my SSBB on a Wasabi chip and it played fine without the layer break.
Just a thought, how many people have had trouble loading the game from the iso they created from the original and how many are having trouble loading the game that they downloaded?? I have yet to have a problem with an iso that I created from an original disk.

I have a Wasabi...I downloaded mine, I got it to run once (it saved the profile) then locked up....I honestly don't know what burn ran, (whether it be w/ or w/o layer break and what speed I burned them at)....I need to test it some more...but I'm a cheapskate and don't like wiping my a** w/ dualies ;)

Now, keep in mind I'm a total noob when it comes to anything Nintendo...so, it could very well be something in my approach ;)

Ok i've ripped the smash brothers game and it's over 8gb so i'll need a dual layer disc (don't want to break the layer). I was wondering is there any media out there that's preferrably better than the others for dual layer? should i use +R or -R for dual layer? for regular games I am currently using Taiyo Yuden -R but they don't make dual layers at this time

I am having exactly the same problem and have the exact levels of firmware. I would be most curious as to getting this to work as well.

Know one needs to update their modchip firmware to get games with error 001 working...all you have to do is use trucha to remove it. this is for people who need to open up their wii to update their modchip and do not want to.

    Hi,

Can anyone please teach me a method to read Super Smash Brawl? I brought the "real" game at Walmart but my Wii does not read the disc. It read everything else i have including the "real" and the backups. I read on Nintendo's website they are saying certain WIi have to send back for repair or something. But I have a Wiikey in my Wii and I dont want to send it back. Please help me out.

Please send me a direct message or something if you have a soluntion without sending my Wii to Nintendo.

Ok guys I've read a few pages but still unclear. I bought a copy of SSBB when it first came out but it wouldn't play on my Wii when I first got it. I have a wiikey and it's updated up to 1.9g. The Wii is updated to whatever Galaxy needed. I got so busy with school I just put it to the side and didn't mess with it. The semester is ending and I'm ready to figure this out. So far I realize that I need to update the wiikey to 1.9s. Also I need to update the Wii to 3.2.

Now, my questions arise with the actual burning of SSBB. I have the LG drive, a pioneer dvd burner, and Rawdump 2.0. These three have allowed me to burn every game up until now. For SSBB, because it is dual layered, what will I need that I don't have? Thank you guys ahead of time for any advice.

Can someone post a complete how-to from beginning to end on copying this game? All of the bits and pieces are kind of cofusing. I'm sure many would appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

I finally got the game working by using Trucha. I downloaded the NTSC game and extracted the ISO. I used the new version of BrickBlocker for DL games. I used the tutorial in the following link and used Nero to burn the ISO to a Ridata 2.4X DVD+R DL DVD. I have the Wii updated to 3.2U and my Wii Key to 1.9s. I did not use the PPF patcher or do the layer break to get this to work.

    Thanks for the help!!
