Hi i just got my supercard SD version, I got 512mb SD and it works just fine, and now i wanted to buy bigger capacity SD, How many gb can supercard support ? can I buy 2gb or 4gb and use it ? can u recomend which one is cheap and good ? I live in U.S. thanks
As the supercard can only use FAT16 it can only go up to 2GB. My M3 on the otherhand supports FAT32, so it can have an 8GB microdrive in it if i really wanted to spend that kinda money, lol.
I had a 4 gigabyte sd card that I wanted to use with Supercard for my DS. But then I remembered it had to be fat16 which is limited to 2 gigabytes Anyway I was under the impression that there was nothing I could do. I did some research and I stumbled apone this little piece of software from HP that allowed me to convert my 4 gb SD to fat while keeping the same capacity. Not sure how or why but it worked with supercard so thats all that matters. So YES you can use 4 gb card with supercard.. Heres the software I used to do it http://www.pscience5.net/downloads/CFP/SP27213.exe Just thought I should spread the information...
@H0msar Can I just ask if there were any side-effects of doing this, such as slow access times, or problems playing back video or steaming video from games?
For Supercard owners... Do you guys regret NOT getting an M3 or no... Was the price of the unit itself more than enough than just gettin an M3...
none what so ever. I have been using it for a week now and a month before (with a 512 card) and I see no differences. No errors so its all legit
I dont regret buying a supercard over the m3, I only notices slowdown on one gba game i played and it wasnt that big of deal. I saved some money and was able to buy a 4 gigabyte sd card.. I think its worth it. As far as NDS games go, its been flawless. So I see no reason to spend more on a m3. I got it more for nds games anyway if that makes a difference. By the way here is the gba compatibilty list http://www.rothmans.joskeonline.com/supercardsite/index.php
Ok, so I'm looking for a solution to play NDS games really, not GBA. Am I being ignorant? Will I miss out on GBA games if I get the Supercard? Or are DS games good enough? Or should I fork out for the M3?
well its not like you CANT play GBA games on the supercard there are plenty of great games that work for it.
