I played the demo of Crysis last night to see if it was playable on my PC. I checked the FPS using "FRAPS" and I got mostly 25 to 30 FPS during gameplay. Admitedley, everything is set to low so I am missing out on the capabilities of this game on a high end PC but it still looked a great game and graphically still looked fine to me. At least i could consider buying it when I finish COD4. PC specs as follows, AMD Sempron 3000+ Winfast Geforce 7600 GT 256MB DDR3 1.5 Gig of Kingston RAM 120 Gig and 250 Gig 7200RPM PATA HDD's
I can play crysis at 25 - 30 fps on medium graphics settings. its still an awsome game. i have AMD Althon 3800+ 2.40ghz 1 gig ram nvidia quadro fx1500
yeah, well based on my tests and pc specs, I would certainly hope to be able to play it quite nicely with a gfx card like yours. I don't have a PCI-E board yet but am considering going to dual core. But at least I know I can take my time and plan my upgrade. Problems is I might end-up playing Crysis now & then playing it again later in the year.
i got a Core2Duo 2ghz, 2gb ram (cache and ram on 667mhz), geforce 7600go (laptop) just gon dowload the demo, u made me wanna do it actually.. we'll see how it goes. the witcher was running smoothly in 1024:768 all graphics maxed out, so maybe maybe cool _edited omg its 2gb!
byngo: My specs are pretty similar to yours and I'm running it just fine at Medium-Low settings, @ around 30-35FPS. It can drop down to 20 at times but it usually stays surprisingly stable. There's still plenty of fight left in computer's like ours..
Well, your PC is better than my old laptop and that runs crysis fine at Low detail: Intel Core Duo @ 1.60GHz 1GB DDR2 RAM 7600 GO (128MB) 80GB HDD
Lol, i can run crysis on high, w00t. And only 2 gigs of ram, im on a macbook pro. Btw has anyone been able to run it on very high? That would just be incredible.
