I've noticed that once in a while, I get a surface spot or two on my DVDs after burning.

If you look at the purple surface on the DVD, you can see what looks like a tiny tiny comet, as if the DVD burner burned in to that spot accidentally.

So far, the DVDs seem fine on playback. Just wondering if this is usually a regular cause for error, or does this happen with perfectly fine burns?

The discs I'm using are the Ridata printable 8x DVD-R's. Bought them at Newegg.

Spots doesnt sound good. Do you notice spots on other name brand disks? I wonder if its a bad batch or your burner over burning? I donno never noticed anything strange on my disks and im always looking for scratches and other blemishes.
