You need a different driver for the nic card.

well i had 10.1 suse installed so i figured i would try out 10.2 and everything works perfect now, although at the resolution 1280/1024 everything looked beautiful but all text seemed to small and hard to read so i changed it up to 1024/768 which is what i always have windows at, but now everything looks huge and awkward, althought the text is about perfect size for reading. so is there a way i can get the text bigger at 1280/1024? btw im using 19" flat lcd display. would gnome have looked better? (using kde) ok im off to bed, any advice would be appreciated.

Start kcontrol then go to Appearance & Themes", then click on "Fonts". Here you can not only adjust the font size but also choose another font.
Please be warned that this will change the font behavior of all KDE applications !

Heh..heh heh.. I'll give you a few weeks on x64 before you come back to linux for good. Why not set up a dual boot arrangement?

got bored and did a little sleuthing around,

http://www.solidz.com/torrents/linux/mandriva/ seems to only be 1 seedfor those...

http://btjunkie.org/torrent?do=stat&id=290808495b41e392203a7f4d5f81068fdc8cafdc1e40 , didnt test that one but appears to be seeds

http://tracker.tlm-project.org:6969/ a few here but i think the same torrents as first one

i found a few more that showed 1 seeder so i assume they are the same...looks like 2006 has been eradicated.

I was looking for the official release, i never download linux iso's off non official servers...
But indeed, it seems like it's gone.
Gues i'll have to wait for 2007 to get fixed.

i've never managed to get any joy with Linux ISO's via torrent; had a mooch around, here's the ISO's off an official site -

    ftp://anorien.csc.warwick.ac.uk/Mandrakelinux/official/iso/2006.0/x86_64

(didn't realise Mandriva had removed 2006 off the download pages, the buggers, so i just had a mooch round one of the UK sites...)

..that's the 'free' version, that's all i ever use, haven't bothered with a PowerPack version since the 8.1 days...and i only ever get all my ISO's off the official f.t.p. sites..(spelt it like that as AD has an annoying habit of changing it to a link)
