hey guys, I recently tried to put a fresh copy of nero 7 ultra on my PC from the nero website. During the process one of the installation windows was idol for about 1 hour. I assumed that there was some kind of glitch and I used task manager to quit the set up. I then used every clean tool known to man on my system so I could start the installation process over again. The problem is that when I try to reinstall an error message pops up saying that "there is currently an installation of nero 7 in suspension please undo changes". Like i said, clean tools do nothing for this problem and yes, I have literally used every one of them. Anyone encounter this before? Thanks in advance for any help.
FWIW I had the install window freeze also and killed it. Then any other attempts gave the same message you got. But I did NOT do an uninstall and clean like you did. I eventually noticed that there was a copy of an installer running even though there were no wondows for it. If I remember right, it wasn't a Nero program but rather a Microsoft installer program that Nero install uses. I killed it and the next Nero update I ran worked. I'm sure that task would not have survived a reboot, so if you have already rebooted and still can't install, your problem is different. Good luck
well, I cant seem to figure out how to get nero 7 to install so I just reinstalled nero 6. Wierd how a peice of software can be so great and so utterly retarded at the saem time, lol.
