Does your PS2 Have some sort of Mod Chip that lets you Play VCD/SVCD or Divx files on it?? Cuz If not all you will be able to Play on your PS2 are DVD"s for which you will Need a DVD Burner..There is No real "Best Format" to download what matters is "Best Quality" a SVCD can have better Quality than a DiVx File depending on how it was Encoded and a DiVx file can Have Better Quality than a SVCD depending on how it was encoded but generally DiVx will Be able to Produce the same or Better quality than SVCD for the Same File Size...But to Make a DVD these Files will have to be Re-encoded to DVD Specs which will make you loose some Quality, how Much depends on the Quality of the Encoder and the Settings used to encode the file to Mpeg2/DVD.....good Luck

yes i have a mod-chip and ps2 reality player that allows to play divx and avi files on the computer.

so if i had a choice of cabin fever on svcd(dvd-rip) with 480*480 resolution and 29 fps or on divx with 640*280(or there abouts)with 23fps
which one would be the best

if there is a higher like 29 frames per second(fps) does this mean the quality will be better than 23 frames per second(fps)
i would like to know the difference between the 2 of them which one will have better quality
