    hi there

I converted a dvd to a svcd using this guide:
    http://www.dvdrhelp.com/sefy/.

    Bacically, I:

    - ripped the dvd with DVD Decrypter v3.1.4.0
    - frameserved with VFAPI Converter
    - encoded from the d2v files with TMPGEnc (Manual)
    - authored with VCDeasy
    - burned with Nero

I am getting jumpy (not very smooth) video results... I'm just wondering if anyone would have any idea why?

I have no idea at what step this may have happened.

TMPGEnc is what i would think it is! That gives out horrible playback sometimes!! I use DVD2SVCD with CCE SP and I get very smooth results!!

My sample SVCD's encoded with TMPEnc turned out just fine.
    How fast did you burn?
Try the DVD2SVCD program using TMPEnc as encoder.

Choose 2pass variable bit rate (VBR)& Highest quality (very slow).

I burn all my SVCD's (bin& cue) no faster than 8x and video playback is amazing! Of course I use CCE (Cinema Craft Encoder) as this encoder is much faster than TMPEnc. I like Canopus ProCoder as well.

it was jummpy on the computer screen, so it seems to have nothing to do with the burning speed.

I'll try what DVD2SVCD and get back to you.
