I tried copying the mpeg files from my SVCD disc to my Harddrive to find that they wouldn't play on my pc in any program. Windows media player searches for a codec each time i try to play a SVCD format file. I was wondering if i have to rip an SVCD file into mpeg for it to play on the pc as an mpeg or if i need a codec or some software? Please help, thanks.
VCDEasy is what you need http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/vcdeasy.cfm Click Tools and Mpeg Tools and then you can load in a .dat file and type a target for a file which will be a real mpeg file!
