I'm having this annoying problem. The SVCDs I'm creating have the first two seconds cut off from the beginning. Normally in a full length movie this wouldn't be a problem, as it's ONLY 2 seconds. But these are short movie trailers I'm trying to do. I have followed the afterdawn.com article on using DVD2SVCD to create SVCDs. But same result each and every time. Is there something I'm missing? Maybe there's a "default" setting that needs to be changed somewhere? On a side note, afterdawn's article on DVD to SVCD with TMPGenc works just fine except the quality doesn't seem to be a good. Any advise would be appreciated! Thanks.
Well, the quality would suffer because you are using TMPGEnc standard wheras the quality would be much higher with TMPGEnc Plus. As for the first 2 seconds! I never saw that problem, it must be your dvd player that cuts the 2 seconds.
Actually, I am running TMPGenc Plus v2.59. When I view the VOB files that are ripped from the DVD, the 2 seconds in question are there. Strange huh? Anyone else experience this?
alright, i figured it out. really stupid. all it was was the "Movie offset seconds" under the "bbMPEG" tab in DVD2SVCD. The default was set to 2 seconds. I set it to 0 seconds and guess what... my 2 seconds came back!!! Thanks.
