Just a quick question. I picked up a Lenovo K450 at a market. it has a i5 Cpu, I also have another computer that needs work, that has an i7 CPU, can I swap the i7 with the i5?
Laptop CPU's cannot be swapped. Desktop CPU's can. I know this is very vague, but I hope it somewhat helps.
moved to correct forum due to poster's blindness as is not a windows software issue but a pc hardware issue. thebox, a lot of laptops' cpu's can be upgraded as long as in a socket & the bios is capable of running that upgraded cpu. this link shows it comes with the intel i7 cpu which fits into a socket 1150. http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/desktops/ideacentre/k-series/k450/#tab-tech_specs http://ark.intel.com/products/75122/Intel-Core-i7-4770-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz
Excuse me Grandpa but expressing I am blind sure as hell ain't a how ya doing buddy. Might be a little sensitive cause I have very little vision due to an accident.
& I have been crippled all my life & the past few years I've been slowly loosing the mobility in my legs to the point I have to lay my bike on it's side just so I can lift my leg over the frame before lifting the bike upright so I can ride it. I don't complain about it as nothing can be done about it. if you are using win7 & maybe above then use the windows magnifier program so you can see where you are posting into as a customer uses that program because his blindness.
