I backed up SD: HCTP on a TDK DVD+R and I can boot it fine with Swap Disk however during the gameplay, the background music will stop and come back and play for like 5 seconds then drop out again for some time. The loading times between screens takes forever and it sometimes just doesn't load anymore. The intro videos don't play as I just hear fans cheering on a blank screen. Any ideas why this would be happening? I tried cleaning my PS2 and the Disc. My other backups work fine.
sound dropout and fmv sequence freezing are usualy media related either try re-burning to a different media brand or burn at lower speed
i backed this game up on a packard bell dvd+r and the same thing happened to that copy, so i put it on a verbatim dvd-r and it worked perfectly. i noticed on the disc there is 3 files call "dmy500m01.dat" and 2 other similiar files, are these dummy files used to push up the toc so its harder to boot? if so could i get rid of them without any trouble?
