I just got Swap Magic 3.6 USA DVD and CD Version in the mail today with 3 little black objects (I guess to put in my ps2). The problem is is that they dont look like the 3 little black objects to put in the ps2. They are different shapes than the others ive seen. If you recognize these objects, can you tell me where the tutorial could be on the net? They have a lot but not for these shapes. I have a SLIM PS2 and supposedly these go in? Maybe they are the wrong version...

Ok I think i got the FIRST black object in right. Its the one on the far left of the picture. That goes in the ps2 slim (closest to you) right side. Now Im left with two objects still. If I did the first one wrong also, please let me know! I am watching this thread right now so your replys I see instantly and will respond instantly!

This website has a tutorial for the pieces you have. If you are looking down at your slim ps2, in your picture, the piece on the left covers the switch on the bottom right of the ps2. The middle piece slids down beside the hinge for the lid. And the right piece is used to hold the disc brake over.

Thanks so much for that! I put the third piece in but it doesnt go in all the way. Is that normal? The top wont close either and I was told that the top is suppose to be able to close once the installation was complete. Also, with part B putting in the lock piece, after thats done and I put a cd in a rotate it carefully with my hand, it makes a scratching noise every time its passed around 200 degrees or so.

Do you have a digi cam? Maybe take some pictures of the pieces you have installed so far and post them here. It would be alot easier to see what your talking about.

The first two are fine. The problem is the last one, tool c, isnt pushed down all the way. It should be flush, not sticking out like that.

You got lucky though. I cant even install the last tool in my ps2. If you look at my thread here, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/220234 , you can see how there is a metal piece right where I need to install it. I think sony got wise to this slim tool stuff.

Ah thank you. Is this better? Eww dusty. By the way, now that ive got that in place, the object "A" is disabling me from closing the lid! I cant close the lid without taking out object "A". While thats happening, object B is getting in the way of the CD's. I hear the cd rub against it. I cant push "B" in any farther and its getting in the way of the cd. When I turn on the playstation slim 2, the cd rubs against the object "b" and its hurrendous. There must be a certain angle or side I have to put object "b" on. Please respond soon, im here watching the forums!! = /

I'm not sure why your disc is rubbing, it looks to be installed correctly. And are you sure its tool a that is stopping your from closing the lid? Your tool is slightly different, but my lid closes fine with the following tool.

You know, I actually think the object "a" square is to big and I should snip it a little more because the hole for the flip top to go through is to thin, so the top doesnt close. Hmm, it also may mean that the object "a" isnt pushing down hard enough onto the little pokey thing that pushes down when the fliptop is closed. (That notifies the ps2 is closed).

Yea your right. I looks like my tool a leaves alot of room open for the lid to close while your tool a covers half of the hole.
