I have scph-70012. I installed the fliptop and bought the 3.8 swap magic coder cds. I copied a few games on dvd+r I loaded the dvd coder disc and then put in the copied disc. It worked fine. No problems.. I played a few copied games all worked fine. Now I cant get dvd disc coder to even load. We are talking a few days not long. I can get cd coder disc to load every single time. I can also play copied dvd movies and original ps2 games. Im thinking bad dvd coder disc???? If so any other things I can do without returning for a new disc? Thanx for any help.
When you are loading the SM disc, the screen goes black or what? Try using your PC to read the SM disc, see if your PC can read it or not, if yes then the problem might be your PS2's laser. Otherwise, you got a bad copy, return it of get a new 1. Hope that helps.
