hi guys, just got my flip top and SM 3.6, and im trying to boot up an original Kaido Battle:TND. Heres how it goes

For one, when i boot up dvd SM, the PlayStation symbol 99% of the time is like grey with a messed up grey back ground behind it. But then loads up. So I swap it out with Kaido, then when I hit Load Program, the screen goes away while turning red????And then black screen, and then....CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK, a very disturbing and scary clunking sound from the PS2. Its not scratching the disc, and its not that I installed the Flip-Top wrong, because I have tested swapping with SM3.6 and then a normal ntsc game, loads up fine. Any Help is much appreciated!!

alright, that's the red screen of death you're getting. [On backups, that means the game was burned wrong or is bad. Since most games are found in .ISO format, it's hard to get a bad image...wherever they got it from :D If it has a release group's name (like A11stars), you might want to see what the file size should have been.]

Since you have an import, I'd try square button (stated below) and hopefully it will work. If it was a PAL game, you'd have to change it to NTSC from Normal. Japan is NTSC same as the U.S.

As for grey logo, no problem there. Just means the screen is going buggers. Your SM disc is A.OK, don't be concerned as I get that too. [On downloaded games, most include a .sfv file I heard. Use that to check for errors in extracted .ISO]

He is using an original import, not a downloaded game xhardcore. You could try special boot (hit square).

Hey guys, UPDATE: It was the FlipTops fault. After i hit 'load program', the clunking came from the lasor trying to move all the way back, but it was getting stuck by the spring(for the fliptop lid), hanging out to far. uninstalled, cut the spring shorter, and walla!

I have been looking around, but what exactly does special boot do on swap magic. I have pushed square, but it just boots normal as far as I can tell. tx
