my playstation was playing fine until i put in the swap magic 3.6 dvd disc and now the ps2 doesnt work, it spins and everything but it doesnt load, it just keeps reading disc. on the other hand PS1 games work perfectly, and CD's. the PS2 DVD games or ANY DVDs dont work at all, how do i fix it also im using flip top cover, one thing i noticed was that the laser thing shines brighter when i try playing the DVD, like it shines thru the disc, and the CDs it doesnt HELP PLZZ.
Maybe if you wern't so sarcstic people would help. Anyway it may well be the laser jamming, or gone. I had the laser jam on my FAT PS2, and it sounded like a disc jamming or something then the disc slowed and stopped. I fixed it with butter, not a great idea, but it's been fine ever since. I couldn't be bothered to buy grease, so I smeared a little ammount of butter on the runners. Dunno if you wanna open your PS2 up though.
