I recently installed my flip top yesterday and it came with Swap Magic 3.6 DVD and CD-R disc.
So I try to load up my burned DVD games with the SM DVD disc and it will not load. So I try to load an Original PS2 game that I've purchased and it still says "insert original ps2 disc"

So I have my friend come down and he has SwapMagic 2.0 and his disc works with my burned games!

So I asked another friend and he says I heard something about a SwapMagic Fix disc I am able to burn?!?? He didn't know much about it so that was all the info he could give me.

Is there anything I can do to use my PS2 (ver. 4) with my SM 3.6 to make my burned games work w/out having to buy another SM disc ?

Lots of thank yous to anyone who can help!

Aww, that sucks majorly... thanks for the reply... I hope I can get a refund, I'm kinda doubtful about that though.

very odd. just for kicks try this.
Loosen the screws in the bottom of your case to about 1/2 way out, or take them out all the way.
Then try to load a game. Some fliptops, like mine, have a
problem when screwed in because they get too tight and cause
problems with the laser reading discs. I had to leave the screws out for mine to work correctly every time.
Other than that i think that it may be the swap discs.
One way to tell for sure is to go over to your friends house, who let you use 2.0, and try it on his. If it works than it is not the discs. If not try to get a refund and a new set.

hmm thanks for the idea, it seems like that may help since I did notice the disc didn't have much room to fit in after I installed the flip top.

on another note, I did get it to work, but... I had to use the Swapmagicfix.com's CD Loader... it's a real pain to use though, cause I have to use 3 different Disc just to play a back up lol

Hey, I have the exact same problem-I asked to exchange the 3.6 discs but haven't had a reply. Please tell me about the cdloader you used and how. (I assume I'll need the dvd loader too?) My old 2.0 disc still works even though it is very beat up. But I thought I'd get the fliptop and the new discs since the 2.0 is on it's last leg. The flip top works now that I put a piece of cardboard under the reset tab to keep it in place. But I still need help with the swap 3.6 discs not loading at all.
    Thanks

can someone please help me as its doing my head in, i have got a slimline ps2, i think its v16 model no.75003. i have brought the swap magic 3.6 plus the magic keys 2 as my model has a metal plate in the way where tool c goes. i have install the 3 tools in the ps2 but then i put in the swap magic dvd disc, and the screen comes up saying swap magic 3 plus then it comes up with load program or video mode: normal. then i press x to load the disc, then all it does is go back to the load program or video mode screen, then i press x again then all it does is go to the memory card screen with a disc showing next to the memory card. could someone please help, am i doing anything wrong, or have i got a dodgy disc. i get the impression that the disc is not loading, what are the steps you are supposed to do when you insert the disc. HELP PLEASE ITS DOING MY HEAD IN??
