Swapmagic 3.8 PS2 Slim - Black Screen / Insert Disc issue

Hello,

Having some trouble with SwapMagic 3.8 on a PAL PS2 Slim when trying to play original NTSC-J discs.

SwapMagic loads fine but when I swap a game it spins fine but I get either:

- a black screen when selecting ‘special’
- selecting ‘normal’ it boots to a memory card screen then to the red ‘please insert a PS2 format disc’ screen’

Is this an Original Swap Magic Boot disk or downloaded. It does make a difference. With a Burned Swap Magic, you most likely will get both errors

Better to just get FMCB installed on a memory card and use Codebreaker if your just looking for cheat codes

 

Thanks smokyrain. Using an original disc and trying to play NTSC-J titles. Would an FMCB memory card and Codebreaker work for that?
