Ok so i had a dell computer for about 3 months now and im already running outta space (40gigs).. and now im thinking about buying a hard drive from bestbuy and then swapping it out. is there anything i need to backup before swapping? (excluding all my stuffs) Is drivers necessary or can i just find them all on the web?
if your're going to buy a new harddrive you need to install a new os, and other software that you will need including drivers for video, sound, etc. if you still have the cd for the installers you can use it. if not just download it from web. i think it's better if you just add the new harddrive and transfer all your data to it so you could free up space in your drive c. if you choose this option you don't need to reinstall anything.
Well that's what i wanted to do ..but the dell only came with one drive bay so i can't have 2 hard drives running same time Also..if i use a Windows CD with the product key on the side of the Dell computer, will it go through as a valid cd-key?
