I've just bought a DVD-RW (very first, so I'm a real novice). The manual is written in "Chinglish". I need to connect it to my TV via my cable box (Telewest) and there are so many cables, I haven't a clue which goes where. Can anybody help? Thanks
Not sure what all the hookup's you have are on either the cable box, DVD recorder or TV so it is a little hard to explain.. I will give it a shot assuming of course you have these types of hook up options? [bold]Using AV cables (Audio Video usually red, yellow, & white)[/bold] 1. Plug one end of the red and white cable into your cable box into the Audio out pins. 2. Plug one end of the Yellow cable into your cable box into the Video out pin. 3. Plug the other end of this same cable into your DVD recorder into the audio and video IN pins. 4. Now take another AV cable and hook it up to the audio and video out pins on the DVD Recorder. 5. Hook the other end up into the TV audio and video inputs [bold]Using Coax cable (the one black cable comming out of the wall)[/bold] 1. Take a coax cable and screw it into the "Out" of the cable box. 2. Plug that same cable into the back of your DVD Recorder into the "IN" 3. Take another coax cable and plug it into the "Out" of the DVD Recorder. 4. Screw the other end into the "IN" on your TV (TV's usually only have one of these) That is two ways you could hook it up I hope this helps Remember to leave the cable pluged into the cable box comming from your wall for any of the hookups
Many thanks. I'll have a go at that when I get home. I do have some white/yellow/red cables supplied with the DVD. I also have Scart cables connecting my TV to the cable box but the DVD came suppied with a Scart lead. Any suggestions for these?
