We will be moving to Belgium shortly and was wondering if anyone could provide insight as to how to convert our DVD players from a NTSC format (US) to the PAL format? Also is there any knowledge out there regarding using our Panasonic Viera (NTSC format i believe) in Belgium?
I think that standalone players in the EU can play burned NTSC disks. The problem is that commercial DVD's are region coded and the player would have to be able to be hacked to make it region free - I know this from family members in the UK. Converting an NTSC player (which uses a different voltage and mains frequency - not to mention that it outputs an NTSC signal) would be a daunting task.
