Hi all doues anybody use this firewall all seems ok but occasionally throws a wobbler and i cant access any secure sites/password sites E.G.Bank sites, Hotmail,E-bay have setting on normal only way to access sites is allow all??? not very secure for online banking. Thanks in advance Andy
I've never had that problem with Sygate. Have you tried using another browser? If you're using Internet Explorer, you shouldn't be using that for general web browsing - let alone going to secure sites - in the first place. If you're using Firefox, try Opera, or vice versa. Failing that, what are your settings e.g. which applications are allowed/denied, do you have DLL injection checking on, do you have any "Advanced Rules" set up, and so on? Sygate's a pretty good firewall, despite being old. Better ones exist like Comodo or Jetico, but they are much more difficult to set up properly.
