I had norton, Cost me 50 quid. Turned out it didn't stop the virus that ate at a quarter of the files in my HDD. Switched to AVG Free Edition, and never looked back
You really need at least two firewalls to keep out the maggots roaming the 'net Even if you only use one PC, it's worth the price to use a router just for the hardware firewall
Norton doesnt suk, that report hasn't be confirmed, for me AVG really suked, i was attacked continusly. Too save faith i have about 4 different ant-spyware and ad-ware programs, along side Norton, and nothing has ever gone wrong, the only time something went wrong was when i got impatient waiting for something to download and i turned norton off, the moment i turned it off my hdd mash up
