    Hi there,

I'm very new to this & please be patience if I'm not clear or in the wrong forum, thanks.

I've an avi file with Russian audio. I also have an ac3 file with English audio for the same movie. How do I synch the English audio onto the existing avi file on VLC? Is that possible?

Alternatively, can I get rid of the Russian audio & embed the English audio to create a new file? If so how do I do that?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    hope this makes sense.

    Open the avi in virtualdubmod.
Select "streams"/streamlist and disable the existing audio.
Select "Add" and add the new ac-3 audio.
    OK out.
Set "Video" to direct stream copy.
    File "save as "

    Thanks Davexnet,

I tried your suggestion & it worked great, thanks so much, I didn't think it was possible, very helpful.
