Synchronising Cache?

    What does this mean?

I was just burning a movie to DVD with Decryptor (which i have used twice previously successfully), and when it reached 100% complete, down the bottom it then had "synchronising cache" and wouldn't do anything else... was like that for over 1/2 hr, so i had to re-boot for it to allow me to get the CD out of the drive.

Any help with this much appreciated!

what format discs are these? I ask because the only time I ever see that is when I burn onto a DVD-RW, in which case you shouldn't be wasting discs at all.

Also, have you made any successful burns at all with this same media? By successful I mean ones that will play properly.

BumpmeK. the info i gave you came from another member when i had the prob (squizzle) it worked for me on the 2 occasions i had it happen. as (andmeer) says it's some other reason. if you give these guys the info they need (they are far cleverer than i at these probs) i.e do's it play on your comp, what system are you useing, dvd disc make , burn speed etc. :)

hmmm....interesting. I use Ritek G04 all the time and do not see the cache synchronizing, maybe I'm just not looking for it and that's why I don't see it. But I am under the suspicion that I have fake Ritek media, which is really starting to piss me off.
