Hey, my system, since I built it... can't do 3d very well. AT ALL. I recently used driver cleaner pro to remove all my drivers after I uninstalled them, then reinstalled them. They are the most updated ones, I'm pretty sure. I don't know everything I should post, so just ask if you need more info.

Also, I'm having some wierd problems with reencoding programs with sound taxi, and DXDIAG is reporting 24 soundcards, so I don't know whats going on with this thing. man.
    VGA:HIS Hightech H155F512N-R Radeon X1550 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 Monitor:little LCD guy
    MB:BIOSTAR TA770 A2+ AM2+/AM2 AMD 770 ATX AMD OS:Windows XP pro
    CPU:AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ Brisbane 2.5GHz Socket AM2 65W Sound:On board
    Memory:A-DATA 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) PSU:675 watt PSU, sunbeam one I got at a local retailer
HD:Seagate baracuda 7200RPM - kinda old (not new)
Cooling:5 case fans, proc fan/sink came with proc, VC has small fan Misc:Memory has heat spreaders, bridges have sinks but no fans

Here's a link to my DXDIAG if that will help.

Please, please help. Thanks. I think it's a driver problem - no matter what happens, trying to get catalyst control center working says "could not load file or assembly "CLI.implementation". the system cannot find the file specified."

The drivers are always funny. I exibit problems faster with more intense games - with half life 1 mods, it takes around an hour. With HL2 games, like TF2, it's about 20 minutes. It also does it with nonsteam games like hellgate london and even when I'm rendering a 3d visualization with winamp.

    Please help me!

Probably CPU or GPU overheating either turn up the fans or dust it out.
