Yesterday my brother installed winroute which cause bad pooler call error, I got rid of this by turning in safe mode but earlier I had to fixmbr cause I had mandrake on the other hdd which was booting the system using his boot; I ended with broken both partitions on this hdd but my system booted fine; this morning when I was trying to start the system it freezes just before the profile screen; I can still start in the safe mode What can it be?
It is kind of confussion. As you said there are 2 HD on same PC. Both have their own operating system. Let say HD A is yours, HD B is your brother. You broke patitions on HD B. So HD B can't boot. And your HD A is still ok. Then you use HD A to boot, but it freezes just before the profile screen. Ok. try to boot HD A by itself (remove HD B) to see if you have the same problems. If so, you have a bad system config or missing files. YOu can try to remove all user accounts in safemode. And reboot and try to logon Administrator account. If it successes, you can create accounts again.
It happened after I remove my brother's hdd so it couldn't be it's fault, I've tried to reboot several times, than I turn into the safe mode, made every possible scan I could (spyboot, ad-aware, antivirus - found some spyware that both mentioned programs didn't, removed them; hijack) and then it started just fine one more thing with this 2nd hdd, I couldn't get partition magic to work when it was connected and I was thinking about formatting it with ps2 hdloader and then with PM (I mean I don't think there is any chance to save the data it contains - is there?) Thanks; greetz
That is good. Your window works now. About the 2nd HD, I dont think you can backup data out of it. If you reformat, 100% data will be gone.
