I hope someone will be able to help me on this. Every time I tried to convert an avi image to dvd using nero, the system will reboot during the process. I checked on the error log and it appeared that the same two files are causing the system to reboot. I tried to search for this files but the search option on the start button never can seem to find these files. The system also reboots intermittenly while I was playing games after about 10 minutes or so. I don't know if the two problems are related or not. I had ran norton antivirus serveral times and it seemed the system is virus-free. Here is the error log that had been coming up after the system reboots while trying to convert avi to dvd:

    C:/docum~1\John\Locals~1\temp\wer0801.dir00\32mini\122805.dmp
    C:/docum~1\John\Locals~1\temp\wer0801.dir00\32mini\sysdata.xml

Those are probaly hidden files. Make your hidden and system files visible and try again -> http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html That seems to be an overheating issue, not a virus issue. What are your computer's temperatures? I mean processor, video card etc.

thats what you get for leaving the computer on for ages without a good fan, or just leaving it on for too long with a good fan.

    whats your specs?

thanks to all who had replied. My question now is, where do I find the specs for the temperature? when you mentioned about the fan, how many fans are there? I had just replaced the power supply about 4 months ago. Could it have something to do with it?
